Overview

I was the Head of Product & UX for Havenly, a rapidly growing interior design startup in Denver. After closing down, Truthly, I started looking for something full time that fulfilled my main requirements:

1. The company had to have a product that I loved and believed in
2. I wanted to drive vision for the product, not just push pixels
3. The team had to be whip smart rockstars, and a place where I could learn and grow
4. The company had to be in a blue ocean market and have rocketship potential

Havenly checked all of these boxes and more. On a day-to-day, I managed the product development cycle, working closely with the dev team to set priority and execute on company goals especially for our large product launch in August. As the only designer on the team, I drove design vision, created wireframes and mockups, sourced external design talent, and operated our UX testing. I conceptualized many key elements of the product, and redesigned much of the consumer application in a matter of months.

The first area I tackled when I got to Havenly was the on-boarding process. Havenly is a marketplace for interior design, and as a marketplace, the on-boarding process is critical. I conceptualized and designed an entire new onboarding process that signifigantly improved conversion.

One of the areas in the product that needed the most improvement were the emails we sent to clients, both marketing and system emails. I worked on improving our email communication, with a complete rethinking of our email copy and content, including a visual redesign.
